What Are Key Mentions?

Updated over a month ago

Key Mentions are individual mentions that you manually choose to highlight in the “Key Mentions” section of your PDF reports.

They’re perfect for:

  • Important press coverage

  • Influential social media posts

  • Critical positive or negative mentions you want stakeholders to notice immediately

Key Mentions do not change your data; they simply give extra visibility to the most important mentions in your report.

How to mark a mention as a Key Mention

  1. Go to your Mentions feed.

  2. Find the mention you want to highlight.

  3. Click the “Add to PDF Report” button (📄) below the mention card.

Once selected:

  • The mention is saved as a Key Mention.

  • It will automatically appear in the Key Mentions section of your next generated PDF report.

How to remove a Key Mention

If you no longer want a mention to appear in the Key Mentions section:

  1. Locate the mention in your feed.

  2. Click “Remove From PDF Report” under the mention card.

After you remove it:

  • The mention will no longer appear in the Key Mentions section of your PDF report.

  • The mention itself remains in your project and analytics. It is not deleted; only its “Key Mention” status is removed.

Important notes

  • Key Mentions affect only the Key Mentions section of your PDF report.

  • You can add or remove Key Mentions at any time before generating or scheduling your report.

  • Using Key Mentions helps you create client-ready, story-driven reports that surface the most impactful examples of your brand’s online coverage.
