How Do I Compare Performance Between Multiple Projects?

Updated today

The Comparison feature in BrandMentions allows you to conduct a side-by-side analysis of multiple projects, giving you clear context about your brand’s position against competitors, product lines, or regional campaigns.

This tool helps you move beyond single-brand analysis and into competitive intelligence. By comparing multiple projects at once, you can benchmark performance, identify emerging trends, and make informed decisions to strengthen your brand’s strategy and visibility.

How to Compare Multiple Projects

Comparing projects in BrandMentions is a quick and intuitive process. Follow these steps to access your comparative insights.

1. Navigate to the Comparison Section

From the main menu, select the Comparison tab to open the comparison dashboard.

2. Select the Projects to Compare

You will see a list of your active projects. Choose the projects you want to compare.
For competitive benchmarking, select your own brand’s project along with the projects you have created for your competitors.

3. Choose the Time Frame

Set the desired period for your analysis. You can select a predefined time range or apply a custom date range based on your reporting needs.

4. Analyze the Comparative Data

Once your projects and time frame are selected, the dashboard will display comparative charts and metrics. Review these visuals to identify performance differences, audience trends, and sentiment shifts across brands.

Key Metrics for Comparison

The Comparison dashboard includes several important metrics that help you evaluate how your projects perform side by side.

Share of Voice

Shows the percentage of total online conversation captured by each project.
A higher share indicates stronger visibility and market influence.

Mentions and Reach

Compare how often each brand or keyword is mentioned and how far those mentions travel.
This helps you understand which projects are generating more buzz and attracting larger audiences.

Sentiment Analysis

Review the emotional tone of mentions for each project.
Determine which brands receive more positive engagement and which are dealing with negative feedback, allowing you to identify areas for improvement or opportunity.

Top Influencers and Sources

Identify the leading influencers, websites, and platforms contributing to each project’s visibility.
These insights help you discover new collaboration opportunities and pinpoint which sources drive the most impact for competitors.
