BrandMentions provides flexible options for delivering your alerts beyond email and Slack. With Webhook integration you can automate data sharing, connect BrandMentions to other tools, and centralize your brand monitoring workflow.
These integrations are especially useful for advanced users and development teams who want to create custom dashboards, automate reports, or integrate mentions into existing systems. Whether you prefer real-time automation through Webhooks, BrandMentions helps you stay informed and efficient.
What Is a Webhook?
A Webhook is a method for sending real-time data from one application to another through an HTTP POST request. In BrandMentions, Webhook alerts automatically send mention data to a custom URL, allowing your systems to receive updates the moment new mentions appear.
Webhooks make it possible to connect BrandMentions to your broader marketing technology stack, automation tools, or analytics dashboards giving you endless opportunities for integration.
How to Configure a Webhook Alert
For setting up a webhook alert in BrandMentions follow these steps:
Get Your Webhook URL
Obtain the URL that will receive the POST data from BrandMentions. You can create this URL on your own server or use one provided by a third-party automation tool.
Go to the Alerts Section
From your BrandMentions dashboard, click on Alerts in the left sidebar.
Create a New Alert
Click + New Alert at the top of the page.
Select Webhook as the Notification Channel
In the alert configuration window, choose Webhook from the list of available channels.
Enter Your Webhook URL
Paste the URL you obtained in Step 1 into the provided field.
Configure Your Alert Settings
Choose the project, apply filters or segments, set your alert frequency, and click Save.
Once active, your webhook alert will send a POST request to the specified URL every time the alert is triggered.
Example of Webhook Data Payload
Whenever your alert is triggered, BrandMentions sends a JSON payload containing details about the mentions. Below is a sample payload structure:
