How Can I Change Notification Frequency or Delivery Method?

Your brand monitoring needs change over time. During a product launch, you may want real-time notifications to follow every conversation. During quieter periods, a daily or weekly summary might be enough.

BrandMentions makes it easy to adjust your alert settings so your notification workflow always matches your current priorities. You can quickly change both the notification frequency and delivery method from your main Alerts dashboard.

How to Change Your Alert Settings

You can manage all your alert settings in one place: the Alerts Dashboard. Follow these steps to edit an existing alert.

  1. Go to the Alerts Section
    From your main BrandMentions dashboard, click Alerts in the left sidebar.

  2. Find the Alert You Want to Edit
    Locate the specific alert you want to modify in your list of configured alerts.

  3. Click the Edit Icon
    In the Actions column on the right, click the pencil icon to open the Edit Alert window. Here you can update all the settings for that alert.

Changing the Notification Frequency

Inside the Edit Alert window, find the Frequency setting.



You can choose from several options:

  • Real-Time: Receive notifications instantly when a new mention appears.

  • Daily: Get a summary of your mentions once per day.

  • Weekly: Receive a round-up of your mentions once per week.

Select your preferred frequency and click Save to apply the change.

Changing the Delivery Method

You can also change how your alerts are delivered.

In the Notification Channel section, you can switch between:

  • Email

  • Slack

  • RSS Feed

  • Webhook

If you select a new delivery method, you may need to enter additional details (for example, an email address, Slack channel, or webhook URL). After updating the information, click Save to confirm.
