How Do I Include Analytics Charts or Mentions in a Report?

Updated over a month ago

A powerful report tells a story, not just a collection of numbers. BrandMentions helps you transform raw data into engaging stories with visual charts and real-world examples. You can easily include analytics charts and specific mentions in your reports, giving readers the insights and evidence they need to understand your brand’s online performance.

By adding these elements, your reports become more insightful, persuasive, and visually appealing, helping you clearly demonstrate the impact of your brand monitoring activities.

Including Analytics Charts in Your Report

BrandMentions integrates its Analytics section directly into the report builder. This allows you to include pre-built charts and visualizations in your downloadable PDF reports. Charts help you present data in a clear and accessible way, making trends and patterns easy to spot.

How to Add Charts

When you create or customize a report, you will see a list of Report Sections. Many of these sections correspond to the charts available in your Analytics dashboard.
To include a chart, simply toggle on the corresponding section.

Including Specific Mentions in Your Report

In BrandMentions, you can typically add specific mentions from the Mentions feed to your report. This feature allows you to highlight real conversations that support your analysis.

Key Mentions” are individual mentions that you manually select to emphasize in your report’s Key Mentions section. When you mark a mention as key, it is saved and will automatically appear in the Key Mentions section of the PDF. If you remove it, it no longer appears there, in either case the mention remains in your project and analytics feed.

How to Add Key Mentions in Your Report

Follow this process:

  1. In your project’s Mentions feed, locate the mention you want to highlight.

  2. Click the “Add to PDF Report” button (📄) under the mention card. That action marks it as a Key Mention and will include it in the report.

  3. If you later decide not to include it, use the “Remove From PDF Report” option. This removes the mention from the Key Mentions section but leaves it in your project.

  4. When you generate your PDF report, the Key Mentions section will appear in the document, including all mentions you flagged.

  5. In your report builder interface you can toggle the Key Mentions section on or off along with other report sections.

Combining analytics charts with selected mentions allows you to create a balanced, data-rich, and engaging report. The visualizations provide a clear overview of trends, while individual mentions bring the story behind the data to life.

With these features, BrandMentions helps you deliver professional reports that communicate insights effectively to clients, teams, or stakeholders.
