BrandMentions allows you to track online mentions that come from a particular country, region, or market. This helps you understand how people in specific areas talk about your brand, products, or competitors.
You can easily set up location filters inside your project to focus only on mentions from the regions that matter most to you.
How to Monitor Mentions by Location
- Log in to your BrandMentions account.
- From your Dashboard, open the project you want to manage or create a new one.
- Go to Project Settings (⚙️) → Languages & Countries.
- Under Countries, select one or more locations you want to monitor. - You can select multiple countries if your brand operates across different markets.
- If you want to focus on a single region, choose only that specific country.

- Click Save to apply your settings.
Your project will now collect mentions only from the selected countries or regions.
Why Track Mentions by Country
Tracking mentions by location helps you:
- Understand local sentiment and customer opinions.
- Identify regional trends or market-specific discussions.
- Measure the impact of country-based marketing campaigns.
- Focus on the markets most relevant to your business.
For example, if your company operates in both the US and the UK, you can track each region separately to compare engagement levels and sentiment.
Tips for Better Regional Monitoring
- Combine country filters with language filters to improve accuracy.
Example: select “France” and “French” to avoid English-language mentions from other countries.
- If you manage global campaigns, create separate projects for each region to keep data organized.
- Review your country settings regularly to align with your current business markets.
- Use your Analytics dashboard to compare results by region and identify where brand visibility is growing fastest.
