Why Can’t I Add a New Keyword or Project?

There are a few reasons why you might not be able to add a new keyword or project in BrandMentions. This guide will help you troubleshoot the most common issues.

You've Reached Your Plan's Limit

The most common reason for not being able to add a new keyword or project is that you have reached the limit of your current subscription plan. Each BrandMentions plan has a specific limit on the number of projects and keywords you can track.

How to Check Your Limits

To check your current plan's limits, follow these steps:

1.Click on your profile icon in the top right corner of the screen.

2.Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu.

3.Navigate to the Subscription tab.

Here, you will see a summary of your current plan, including the number of projects and keywords you are using and the total number available.

What to Do If You've Reached Your Limit

If you have reached your limit, you have a few options:

Upgrade Your Plan: You can upgrade your subscription to a higher plan with more projects and keywords.

Delete Old Projects or Keywords: If you have any old or inactive projects or keywords, you can delete them to free up space.

Refine Your Existing Keywords: Instead of adding new keywords, you may be able to refine your existing keywords using filters and exclusions to get the results you need.

You Don't Have the Necessary Permissions

If you are part of a team, you may not have the necessary permissions to add new projects or keywords. In BrandMentions, account owners can set different roles and permissions for team members.

If you believe you should have permission to add new projects or keywords, please contact your account owner to request a change in your user role.

Temporary System Issue

In rare cases, you may not be able to add a new keyword or project due to a temporary system issue. If you have checked your plan limits and user permissions and are still unable to add a new keyword or project, please try again later.
