Updated yesterday

In addition to tracking keywords and hashtags, BrandMentions allows you to monitor specific public social media profiles. This is useful for tracking mentions of your brand's official accounts, monitoring competitor profiles, or following influencers and thought leaders in your industry.

To add a social media profile to your project, follow these steps:

1.Navigate to your project and click on the Settings tab.

2.Click on Sources in the settings menu.

What Data Will Be Collected?

Once you have added a social media profile, BrandMentions will collect:

All Posts: Every post, tweet, video, or update published by that profile

Engagement Metrics: Likes, comments, shares, and other engagement data

Reach and Performance: Estimated reach and performance scores

Sentiment: Automatic sentiment analysis of the content and comments

This data will appear in your mentions feed, allowing you to analyze the profile's activity alongside other mentions of your keywords.

Why Track Social Media Profiles?

Tracking specific social media profiles provides several benefits:

Monitor Your Brand's Official Accounts: See all the content your brand publishes and how it performs across different platforms.

Track Competitor Activity: Keep an eye on what your competitors are posting and how their audience is engaging with their content.

Follow Industry Influencers: Monitor thought leaders and influencers to stay updated on industry trends and conversations.

Analyze Profile Performance: Get insights into engagement, reach, and sentiment for specific profiles.

Tracking Multiple Profiles

You can add multiple profiles from different platforms to the same project. This is useful if you want to monitor several of your brand's accounts or compare multiple competitors in one place.

Note on Privacy

BrandMentions can only track public social media profiles. Private accounts or content that requires authentication cannot be monitored. Make sure the profiles you want to track have public visibility settings.

By tracking social media profiles, you can gain deeper insights into specific accounts and their impact on your brand, industry, or competitive landscape.
