Language Filter - View Mentions in Specific Languages

Updated this week

The Language Filter allows you to isolate mentions written in a specific language, giving you clearer insights into how your brand is perceived across different linguistic and regional markets. This feature is especially valuable for global brands or businesses operating in multilingual environments. By filtering by language, you can understand your brand’s visibility in various regions, engage with audiences in their native language, and tailor your marketing strategies for different linguistic communities.

How to Use the Language Filter

The Language Filter is available in the right side of the dashboard and lets you refine your results based on the language of the content.

  1. Locate the Language Filter
Find the “Language” option in the main filtering panel on your Mentions Dashboard.

  2. Select a Language
Choose one or more languages from the list of available options. Once selected, your mentions feed will update to display only the content written in that language.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Global Brand Management
If your brand has an international presence, use the Language Filter to track mentions in each of your key markets. This helps you monitor regional sentiment and adapt communication strategies for local audiences.

  • Targeted Engagement
Engage with users in their native language to build stronger connections and foster trust. Responding in a user’s own language often increases engagement and customer satisfaction.

  • Market Research
Analyze the volume and sentiment of mentions across multiple languages to discover new opportunities or gaps in brand presence. For instance, a sudden rise in mentions in a specific language could signal market interest worth exploring.

  • Combine with the Country Filter
For more precise geographic insights, use the Language Filter together with the Country Filter. This helps distinguish between mentions in the same language from different regions - for example, Spanish-language mentions from Spain vs. Spanish mentions from Mexico.

Conclusion: Speak Your Audience’s Language

The Language Filter empowers you to view your brand’s performance through a global lens. By segmenting mentions linguistically, you can localize engagement, understand regional sentiment, and create communication strategies that truly resonate.

In a connected, multilingual world, this filter ensures your brand is not just seen - but understood - everywhere it’s talked about.
