The Keywords Filter allows you to refine your mentions based on the specific keywords or phrases you are tracking. This feature is fundamental for ensuring that your results remain relevant and precise, giving you control over which mentions appear in your analysis.
How to Use the Keywords Filter
The Keywords Filter is a primary filtering option found in the right side, within the Advanced filter panel of your dashboard. It lets you easily refine the scope of your data based on the keywords being tracked.
- Find the Keywords Filter
Locate the “Keywords” option within your dashboard’s Advanced Filtering menu.

- Select Keywords to Include or Exclude
You can typically choose one of two modes to tailor your analysis:- Include: Show only mentions containing one or more of your selected tracked keywords.
- Exclude: Hide mentions containing specific keywords that are irrelevant or misleading.

Once your selections are applied, your mentions feed automatically updates to show only the filtered results.
Tips and Best Practices
- Focus on Specific Campaigns
Running multiple campaigns? Use the Keywords Filter to isolate mentions related to each one. For example, if you’re promoting #SummerGlow and #WinterCare, filter by those hashtags to analyze each campaign’s performance separately.

- Competitor Analysis
If you’re tracking competitor brands or keywords, switch filters to analyze mentions specific to them. This helps you compare sentiment, volume, and engagement between your brand and competitors.

- Combine with Other Filters for Precision
For deeper, more actionable insights, combine the Keywords Filter with others such as Sentiment, Source, or Language.
Example: Filter for negative mentions about a specific product keyword on Twitter to detect customer complaints or emerging issues early.
Conclusion: Gain Control Over What You Monitor
The Keywords Filter gives you the flexibility to fine-tune your monitoring and focus only on the most relevant conversations. By including or excluding specific terms - and combining this filter with others - you ensure your analysis reflects accurate, targeted, and meaningful data.
Whether you’re tracking brand reputation, campaign success, or competitive chatter, the Keywords Filter helps you cut through the noise and concentrate on insights that drive action.
