Content Filter - Filter by Words in the Content

Updated this week

The Content Filter allows you to search for specific words or phrases within the body text of your mentions. It is a powerful tool for finding mentions that discuss a particular topic, even if that topic is not the main focus of the article or post. This filter works well alongside the Title Filter, giving you a broader view of how topics are discussed within the full content of mentions.

How to Use the Content Filter

The Content Filter is available as an Advanced Filer option within the right side of the Dashboard. It lets you specify keywords that must appear in the body of a mention.

  1. Access Advanced Filters
In your right side of the Dashboard, open the Advanced Filtering or search options.

  2. Find the Content Filter
Locate the input field labeled "Content".

  3. Enter Your Keywords
Type the words or phrases you want to find within the body text of mentions.
For example, entering "customer feedback" or "new update" will return all mentions where these phrases appear in the content.

Once applied, your mentions feed will refresh to show only those mentions that contain the specified terms within the main text.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Find specific product feedback
Use the Content Filter to search for mentions of a particular product feature or issue. This helps you collect feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Discover related topics
Search for terms connected to your industry or niche to find conversations where your brand could be relevant. These insights can help you spot opportunities for thought leadership or content marketing.

  • Monitor for specific issues
Set up searches for terms related to potential customer problems or complaints. Monitoring these mentions helps you detect and address issues early, improving customer satisfaction.

  • Combine with other filters
For deeper insights, use the Content Filter with other options such as Sentiment or Product filters. For example, searching for a product name along with negative sentiment can help you identify users who are dissatisfied and may need support.

Conclusion: Discover Insights Hidden in the Details

The Content Filter helps you go beyond surface-level mentions to find detailed discussions that matter to your brand. By searching the full body of text, you can uncover valuable insights, track user sentiment, and identify emerging topics across different platforms. When combined with other filters, it becomes an effective tool for reputation management, content strategy, and customer understanding.
