To understand how your BrandMentions usage works, it is important to know which limits reset every month and which are fixed for your account.
BrandMentions uses two types of limits in your account:
Monthly limits, which reset every billing month
Account limits, which stay fixed for your plan until you upgrade or change them
The key difference is that mentions reset every month, while projects, keywords, and team members are per account limits.
What resets monthly and what does not
Mentions: reset monthly
Your mentions quota is monthly.
It is the total number of new mentions that BrandMentions can collect across all your projects within a single billing period (usually one month).
βEvery time the platform finds a new mention that matches the keywords in any of your projects, it counts as one mention toward your monthly quota.
βThis mentions counter resets at the start of each month.
Projects, keywords, and team members: per account
The other quotas are per account limits, not monthly counters. They do not reset each month.
β
Here is how they work:
Quota type | How it is calculated |
Projects | The projects quota is the maximum number of projects you can have in your account at the same time. Each active project you create counts as one project toward this limit. This limit stays the same unless you change plans or delete projects. |
Keywords | The keywords quota is the total number of keywords you can track across all projects. Every keyword you add inside any project counts as one keyword toward your keyword limit. This is a fixed cap for your account, not a monthly counter. |
Team members | The team members quota is the total number of users who can have access to your BrandMentions account. Each invited user with access counts as one team member toward this quota. This limit does not reset monthly and only changes if you modify your plan or remove users. |
If you often hit your monthly mentions limit or reach your account caps for projects, keywords, or team members, it may be a good moment to review your usage or consider upgrading to a plan with higher limits.
