If you no longer need BrandMentions, you can cancel your subscription and request that your data be deleted. This article explains how to cancel your account, what happens to your access, and how to ask for complete data removal.
How to cancel your BrandMentions account
Follow these steps to cancel your active subscription:
Log in to your BrandMentions account.
Go to Account Settings.
Open the Billing > Subscription Details section
Click Stop recurring billing
Confirm that you want to cancel. You may be asked to select a reason.
After you confirm:
Your account is scheduled for cancellation at the end of your current billing cycle.
You keep access to the platform until the end of that billing period.
Future renewals are stopped, so you will not be billed again unless you reactivate.
How to request deletion of your data
Canceling your subscription and deleting your data are not always the same action.
When you cancel, BrandMentions may keep your data for a period of time so that you can reactivate your account if you change your mind.
If you want your data fully removed, you need to request deletion explicitly.
To request data deletion:
Contact the BrandMentions support team using the in-app chat or the contact options on the website.
Clearly state that you want to delete your account and all associated data.
Support will confirm your request and inform you about the next steps and expected timeline.
Once the deletion is completed, your projects, mentions, settings, and other stored data will be removed according to our data handling and privacy policies.
Important things to know
Cancellation is final once data is deleted
After your account is canceled and your data is deleted, it cannot be restored.
No refunds for the current billing period
Canceling does not generate a refund for the remaining days of your current billing cycle. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Consider exporting important data first
Before you request deletion, export or save any reports or information you might need in the future.
