How Can I Reactivate My Subscription After Cancellation?

Updated over a month ago

If you previously canceled your BrandMentions subscription and want to start monitoring again, you can usually reactivate your account in just a few steps. Reactivating lets you pick a plan, restore access, and in many cases continue from where you left off.

How to reactivate your BrandMentions subscription

Follow these steps to come back to BrandMentions:

  1. Log in to your BrandMentions account
Even after cancellation, you can usually still sign in with your existing email and password.

  2. Check the reactivation message
You will normally see a message that your account is inactive or that your subscription has ended, along with an option to restart.

  3. Click “Reactivate” or “Choose a plan”
Use the button or link shown on the screen to go to the subscription page.

  4. Select a new plan
Review the available plans, compare limits and features, and choose the one that best fits your current needs.

  5. Complete the payment process
Enter your billing details and confirm the subscription.

  6. Start using BrandMentions again
Once payment is processed, your subscription becomes active and you can access the platform and start monitoring again.

What happens to your old projects and data

What you see after reactivation depends on how long it has been since you canceled and on the data retention rules that apply to your account.

  • If you reactivate within the retention period
In most cases, your existing projects, mentions, and settings are kept for a certain time after cancellation.

If you come back within this period, your old projects and data are usually restored automatically and you can continue from where you left off.

  • If you reactivate after the retention period has expired
Once the retention period ends, your projects and data may be permanently deleted.

If that has happened, you will need to set up new projects, add keywords again, and rebuild your monitoring from scratch.

If you are not sure whether your data is still available, the BrandMentions support team can check your account and confirm what can be restored.
