When your BrandMentions free trial is close to ending, it helps to know exactly what will happen to your account, your access, and your data. The outcome depends on whether you keep your trial active or cancel it before the end date.
If you do nothing
If you keep your trial active and do not cancel:
When the trial ends, if you entered payment details, your account is automatically converted to a paid subscription
Your saved payment method is charged for the first billing period
You do not lose access to your account or data
You can continue using BrandMentions without any interruption
This automatic upgrade is designed to keep your monitoring running smoothly.
If you cancel your trial
If you decide not to continue with a paid plan, you need to cancel before the trial ends.
When you cancel your trial:
The cancellation takes effect immediately
Your access to the app stops and you can no longer use the platform
No new charges are created after the cancellation
You will not be billed at the end of the trial, because the subscription has already been stopped.
What happens to your data after cancellation
After you cancel your trial:
Your projects and data may be kept for a limited retention period, so you can come back and subscribe later
During this time, your monitoring stops, but your data can often be restored if you upgrade to a paid plan
If you do not subscribe within the retention period, your data can be permanently deleted in line with our data handling and privacy rules
If you want to know the exact retention period for your account, contact the BrandMentions support team.
By understanding what happens at the end of your trial, you can decide if you want to continue with a paid plan, cancel in time to avoid charges, or come back later while your data is still available.
